In our lives, we have trusted people either in personal relations or in business. After a few days or years, we find that these people were never trustworthy. We did blind faith and now we found that they either played with our emotions are looted our hard-earned wealth. So we became emotionally fooled.
Why did this meter was created?– After being Dr. Jagjit Singh got looted by the people he trusted. These were people in the form of family relations, friends, and business associates. When the curtain raised he could see the real nude pictures of all the people he deeply trusted.
We often use blind faith or trust, as per him there is no human on this planet that can have the privilege of being blind trusted. We can only blind trust God or Nature. Since Dr. Jagjit Singh went into the mill of deep thinking, so he created this meter. This is based on Maslow's Hierarchy Need Chart, which covers all the humans of our planet. Use the chart and avoid being cheated by people.
How to use this chart?
Dr. Jagjit, Chart of trusting people, is a chart based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs & a trust meter. People who have gone through human behavior chapters in the Organisational Behaviours must be remembering the chart of Maslow very well, this chart was produced by him in the 1950s. The original chart divides the whole population of the world into five groups. These five groups are based on the needs of the person living in society. His original chart is of pyramid shape & divided into five portions.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
The first portion of the pyramid is the base which is the widest of the whole group. This group belongs to the people who are still struggling with Biological needs. The main biological needs of a person are breathing air, food & water for survival, sex for insecurity reasons (like to boost esteem, keep a partner away from seeking sex elsewhere, or feeling a sense of duty or pressure), or for goal-based reasons like (to make a baby, improve social status (for example, to become popular), or seek revenge), sleep ( to give rest to the body), homeostasis & excretions. As per Dr. Jagjit's chart, you should trust them from 0% to 15% on these kinds of persons, as their first priority is biological needs.
The second portion of the group of people comes under safety needs. Once the biological needs are satisfied person need safety that whatever he or she has attained in the biological needs has to be safe. Therefore a person’s all effects go to protecting his/ her body, employments, morality, family, health, and property. These people can be trusted by up to 30%.
The third portion is for love & belonging needs. When the biological needs are safe then the person looks for friendship. He or she develops a kind of ego that I should be popular within the family and friends. This need also contains sexual intimacy. Sex needs in this portion are different from biological needs. Here the sexual need is no more the biological needs, here it becomes the ‘enhancement of power’. This is to show yourself or to the society that the person is capable of having whatever he wants. This is a great part of the Ego. The persons falling under this category can be trusted up to 50%. Anything that hits their egos will make them untrusted.
The fourth portion of the chart is Esteem. In other words, if we combine Ego plus moral we come into the area of Esteem. In this area person is self-esteem, confident, respects others, and also is respected by others. They are usually very kind-hearted people who can go out of the way to see smiles on people’s minds. They are also the strong pillars of the society under their leadership countries progress in a realistic manner. They can be trusted by up to 60%.
The fifth & last portion of Maslow’s chart is self actualizations. People under these groups are the most trustworthy in the whole human race. People who have morality (people who have the sense to judge between right & wrong), Creativity ( creates like poet’s, filmmakers, scientists, philosophers, artists & painters), Spontaneity (quick inactions), Problem solvers (detectors & inventors), Lack of Prejudice (they lack reasoning) & Acceptance of Facts ( they go by the facts & accepts the facts first). The people under this group can be trusted 75%, but still not the blind faith.
The Sixth portion is the Supreme Power. This power has never been seen by anybody. It is a matter of observation & feel. The Supreme power has given the power to a single seed that can convert itself to many forests. The seed has a desire to grow but who makes seed to a plant. Science can tell this easily. But where science stops supreme power starts. So if an incident where we have to put the cards on blind faith that is non-other then God. Half trusting will not work here. We do accept that whatever is happening is happening for some great cause. Prayers make up us in regular touch with almighty This trust can surpass all the partially trusted humans. So on my scale which is 100% should be done on God on.
Accuracy of the chart
The accuracy of the chart will depend on the personal observation of the person whom you want to trust. Very close observation is required to make a judgment of a person to see to which group he or she belongs.
